Water Main Installation Completed

Work Completed Last Week, June 6th to June 10th
•             Completed water main installation
•             Made connection to existing water main along Greenwood Road
•             Started sanitary sewer replacements

Work Anticipated to be completed Next week, June 13th to June 17th
•             Continue with storm sewer construction
•             Continue with sanitary sewer service replacements
•             Begin performing required testing prior to placing new water main into service.

 The contractor completed the water main installation this week and will begin performing the required tests and necessary approvals for placing the newly installed water main into service. Once all the tests have passed and approvals are received, the contractor will begin replacing the water services to each individual homes.

Next week the contractor will continue replacing sanitary sewer services scheduled to be replaced and installation of the new storm sewer.

Water Main Continues.

Work Completed Last Week, May 30th to June 3rd
·         Continued with water main installation along Ronald Road and Glendale Road
·         Begin water main construction within cul-de-sacs
·         Directional boring of new water main under Greenwood Road

Work Anticipated to be completed Next week, June 6th to June 10th  
·         Continue with water main installation along Ronald Road and Glendale Road
·         Complete water main within cul-de-sacs
·         Make connection to existing water main along Greenwood Road
·         Start sanitary sewer construction

The contractor started excavating for boring pits and directional boring the new water main and casing under Greenwood Road this week. The intersection of Ronald Road and Greenwood Road was reduced to one lane to facilitate this construction. Everything will be done to open all the lanes as quickly as possible.

The contractor also worked in the intersection of Ronald Road and Glendale Road this week. During this construction, the entire intersection was closed to through traffic.

If all goes as planned, the contractor anticipates having the water main completed by the end of next week. The contractor will then begin performing the required tests and receive the necessary approvals for placing the newly installed water main into service. Once all the tests have passed and approvals are received, the contractor will begin replacing the water services to each individual homes.

The contractor has started, and will continue for the foreseeable future, having 2 crews working on the site. The crews will be working on different aspects of the project. Every effort will be made ensure one lane of traffic is open along Ronald Road and Glendale Road within the various work locations. Should future roadway /intersection closures be required, residents will be notified. You may be requested to use alternate routes to avoid areas of the work zone. Please use caution as you travel through the work zones.

Water Main Continues along Ronald Road and Glendale Road

Work Completed Last Week, May 23rd to May 27th
·         Continued with water main installation along Ronald Road and Glendale Road

 Work Anticipated to be completed Next week, May 30th to June 3rd
·         Continue with water main installation along Ronald Road and Glendale Road moving east.

The contractor was initially scheduled to work within the intersection of Ronald Road and Glendale Road on Tuesday, May 31st. Due to an unforeseen circumstance, this work has been delayed. Additional notifications will be provided regarding the revised schedule of this work.

 Thank you again for your patience and understanding as the water main installation continues.

No work will be performed on-site over the holiday weekend.

Major Construction to Begin

·         Resident preconstruction meeting held on May 9th – Thank you to those residents who attended
·         Project walk-through with village staff, engineering representative, and contractor.
·         Utility locates performed

Work Anticipated to be completed Next week, May 16th to 20th  
·         Mobilization of equipment and materials
·         Begin water main construction along Ronald Road at Greenwood Road and work east. 

This is the beginning of the heavy construction work associated with the project. We will continue to provide as much notice as possible regarding the current and upcoming work progress, scheduled water main shut-downs, restricted access to roadways and driveways, and the various other inconveniences you will experience over the coming months.

Welcome to the Ronald Road and Glendale Road Reconstruction Blog!  Each week updates will be given regarding the construction progress from the following week, anticipated work to occur the upcoming week, and other information. Additional information will also be provided on a periodic basis via mailed or hand-delivered letters. These construction updates will typically provide more time-sensitive information or information regarding scheduled water main shut-downs that are needed to complete this project. Please be on the lookout for these updates in the mail or in your front door.
